To six months..and six hundred more to come...

He is like my second shot at perfection... like before I kept aiming but falling; not short... far. And then somehow by the awesome grace of God He saw me as worthy enough, or maybe I just got really lucky. Regardless. He gave me a second chance and I stepped up to bat one more time and BAM! He...he was my home run. And these last six months I just keep getting home runs :) I am so SO blessed to know Joffre Conrad the way I do. So blessed. So In awe that God would allow me to be with him. Through these last six months I have understood God's grace more than ever before...and its because of him. I adore him :)...So ting ting ting! glasses up! there is my toast...To us! To JIFFY! Happy six months!!!

Ever seen a goat jump on a trampoline?

Labor day we got invited to a couples house for some amazing barbeque and some raucous fun and laughter. They have a very farm-esque home...very fun place to have children. They had a trampoline, a pool, an orchard, an old 1930's style house to run circles in...and...two goats and a rooster, as pets. Seriously, it was amazing. And at one point the dad decided the goats needed to jump with the kids, and I HAD TO get it on video. I mean seriously, a goat on a trampoline?! DOES IT GET ANY MORE HILARIOUS?!!?? No my dear follower, it really does not.
So here's to labor day and farm animals...ha ha ha.

From the younest ...to the oldest...

A tribute to 24 years of a wonderful life. :)

Soooo....my lovely sister Sophia is turning 24 today!!! June 2nd...only 24 can you believe it??? 24 and so STINKIN accomplished! Married, three kids PLUS pastoring a church. my word soph...you are honestly...SUPERWOMAN! I am superwoman...yes i am! yes YOU are....:)

Here's a funny memory in honor of your birthday....My dear sister was sooo... ridiculously morbid growing up HA! ...yes you were dont deny it. So all through my childhood i can remember time and time again Sophie taking advantage of the fact that i was the youngest, extremely gullible and easily easily scared. My parents would leave and within ten minutes of them being gone, without fail sophie would be like..."did you hear that? " "whats that noise? ...someones in the house! OH MY GOSH get the knives!" So all three of us girls would go to the kitchen, get the biggest butcher knives we could find, and sneak around the whole house flinging our knives around every corner of every room yelling "I know your there!" until every square inch of the house was covered and we found...like we always did...there was NO ONE there. This literally was like ritual when the parents left. Although one particular night, one dark cold night...soph got a little carried away HA! soooo like i said earlier, soph was a very morbid child, and she decided it would be a very grand idea to try and convince her younger sisters that she had stabbed herself and was dying on the kitchen floor. So late in the evening when my parents were out, me and ange are upstairs in our room and i hear sophie yelling in a intense desperate yell..."ILLY! ILLY! ILLY!" so i run downstairs and to my horror find sophie lying on the kitchen floor surrounded in ketchup with a knife lying there beside her, convulsing and screaming in "pain" hahahhahaha....she got me thats for sure, my heart about stopped beating...right up until ange was like "sophie what the heck?" hahaha...and soph busted up laughing... ohhhhh man...such grand ol memories. THAT ladies and gentlemen is the real sophie haha! you gotta love her:) every single bit of her:) and i do! I absolutely adore you sophio! From pretending to be dead, to instilling fright in my poor lil mind, to convincing me that andrea was demon possessed ( this story ill have to share another time...oh its a good one!) There is no one like my sister haha...the ring leader of our 3 sister gang, we ruled the world together. It was us 3 against...the world :) Still is :) Man....i love you sophie!!!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I was pretty much raised by my sisters, which explains why im so messed up...sigh...i never even had a chance. none the less...we were and always have been and will be best friends. And i love them both from the bottom of my heart. And cant make it in life without them... which is why it tears my heart out being miles upon miles away from sophie:( BUT you have yourself a wonderful birthday! my confidant, my example, my inspiration, my best friend, my protector, my oldest sister:) love ya

So...for five weeks now, our porch has been under demolition. I called the management and basically said, what the heck are you doing this for? Mr. Hignell himself came to my door to explain..."In five years, because of how your porch was constructed, there may be dry rot, so we're being preventative."
um. WHAT?! I could care less about five years dude. I have an eleven week old baby trying to nap amidst the jack hammers going whacka whacka three feet from her window. This is what our porch looks like:

yeah. preventative my left foot. SO! in honor of Illy my partner in crime; once they laid the concrete, and I saw all that wet, begging to be vandalized goodnes...I left the following little insignia.


I mean really...is revenge not sweet?! ha. Yes I am aware of how juvenile this may seem, but honestly, it was nice to just act like a flippin kid for a second..I am only 23 you know....tee hee....

Bieber rant...

Okay...im getting super old. for reals. like, I NEVER listen to the radio anymore, as far as music. I dunno why, just sometimes christian is so like, depressing or sappy...and it makes me nauseas, jus' sayin. And I can't handle country, hip hop etc...blech, I need a satellite radio I think (hint hint). ANYWAY! I was on yahoo and saw this adorable girl with a pixie cut and a cheeky smile and saw the headline saying something to the effect of, look who's the most popular artist this week! So I clicked on "her" video, thinking, "hmm, I wonder if this girl sings well..." and then "hey! she does!" and then.. "why is this girl singing to another girl about being her lover?" so of course I thought, gross, leave it to america to fall in love with a very young lesbian..go figure...but then...I found out, this "girl" is really a BOY!! A boy who just hasn't gone through puberty yet apparantly. I mean, seriously...SERIOUSLY...what is going on here? This kid is like nine...i'm not joking...and apparantly he's just all the rage. gag.
Does he still wear buzz lightyear undies? does he pretend to shave in the mirror like his dad? does he still aim for cheerios? I mean COME ON!

The Fairy Tale...

ok...the fairy tale...geezlaweez...if it wasnt for my older sister constantly telling me to write about this ..i uh...wouldnt haha. but she does so here it is...

Once upon a time in a land close close to home (actually here at home) haha. there lived a knight by the name of joffre harnett, joffre harnett had a good friend by the name of ileana libemday. Their friendship began when ileana was a freshman in high school. Ileana found out joffre liked her and instead of being a nice young lady, became very mean and turned against him for almost a whole year. Her anger than died down and the two were reunited as friends once again. Ileana considered Joffre to be her best guy friend, and joffre considered ileana to be his best girl friend...their friendship grew and grew...and as time went on ileana began to realize more and more that sir joff was indeed an amazing knight. And she grew very fond him. Then one cold dark night Sir Joff asked ileana if she could ever see them being more than just friends. It was a very awkward conversation. Ileana knew her answer that night but did not respond, instead she waited and waited...about one month and a half, she finally felt ready and had thought long and hard and told sir joff she would love to be more than friends. it was a very happy night:) their feelings for one another grew and grew and finally the day illy waited for...Sir joff talked to her father, Sir Libemday. This was the greatest battle sir joff ever fought. What a valiant knight indeed. Only it turns out the "dragon" seemed to be surprisingly tame and kind, and it wasnt a fight hardly at all. Sir Libemday gave Sir Joff the approval of dating his daughter Ileana,(it was actually like seriously incredible! i prayed and prayed for this conversation, and told God that i would know i had his approval if i could just have the approval of my dad, and that i wanted my dad to be happy and excited with me...and HE totally totally is! its nuts! ) anyways... Ileana almost exploded with excitement. Sir joff then took Illy on their first date...the old spaghetti factory in a land far far away called Portland. They had a wonderful evening. ! Full of butterflies, smiles, laughs, and awkwardness:) keeping it very joff and illy style ha...so they had a wonderful magical evening, he got her home before she turned into a pumpkin or he turned into a frog? or is it his car into a pumpkin? annd....they have many many more stories to come. The end.

Out of the Mouths of Babes

So this is from a little while ago, when me an Illy went down to Chico in February. This is just a clip of the whole video but it's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. =) Thought you'd enjoy it Soph and everyone else. I'll have to upload other parts of the video later, Emry makes some hysterical faces and the girls scream as loud as they can, just the usual. haha.

So in Childrens Church we've had a missions theme for the last few months where we talk about different churches all over the world. Well we finally started the United States churches and me and Courtney did Chico the other week. We had sweet photos and talked about the outreaches. For that week we were trying to get the kids to see that they aren't too young to pray with people, this video we showed at the end of our skit to bring our point home. The kids loved it! =o)

You may have read Illy's last post, that looked oddly like the one right underneath that with a picture of us..but look carefully, in the second quote she changed one word then signed off on it like she wrote it. hahahahahaha...oh this kills me. it's sort of an inside joke Ill and I have, we love awkward humor and for some reason, LOVE coming up with jokes or conversation that would make everything awkward..don't ask me..we're just weird.
SO! you know how sometimes there are those people who like, tell you this great little saying, or say something very profound..then say its something they came up with? And the whole time you're like, wha?! I've heard that before, or, i'm pretty sure britney spears was quoted saying that, or, I'm almost positive that was from the lion king..haha...you get what I'm saying?

I am positively swooning...
